Genetic and genomic testing services in England have been reorganised into seven NHS Genomic Laboratory Hubs as part of the national NHS Genomic Medicine Service. This service aims to improve healthcare outcomes through the integration of genomic technology into routine patient care.
Cambridge University Hospitals Genomic Laboratory is the lead organisation for the East Genomic Laboratory Hub. We work together with our Local Genomic Laboratories to deliver high quality genomic testing for all patients with rare disease and cancer across the East:
- Nottingham University Hospitals Clinical Cytogenetics Service
- Nottingham University Hospitals Molecular Genetics service
- University Hospitals of Leicester Clinical Cytogenetics Service
We are currently transitioning to providing the national genomic test directory for rare and inherited disease. Please continue to order tests as per your current practice during this transition period.
